Heritage Walking is a free walking-tour platform built around one idea: every tour is something you listen to as you walk, and what differs is who made it. 147 heritage routes are ready-made — built with AI and checked by us before they went live. Expert Tours are registered by their author under their own name. And an AI can build one on the spot for anywhere the catalogue does not reach.

How the audio tours work

Browse our collection of walking tours organised by country and city. Each tour includes estimated duration, distance, and number of stops. Enable GPS mode and head to the starting point — as you approach each point of interest, audio narration plays automatically, sharing the history and significance of what you are seeing. No app install and no signup are required; everything runs in your phone browser.

Three kinds of tour, one way to use them

Every tour on Heritage Walking works the same way: you walk, and each stop plays as you arrive. What differs is when the tour was made and who stands behind it. AI Tours are generated on the spot from a place you search or your current location, for anywhere a ready-made route does not reach. All three are free, with no app and no signup.
