The route

- Kaminarimon Gate — Take a look right in front of you. That iconic giant red lantern isn't just a photogenic gate—it's a threshold device that teaches you how Asakusa works.
- Nakamise Shopping Street — Walk with me down these two hundred and fifty meters of traditional crafts and snacks.
- Hozomon Gate — Step through and look around. Hozomon marks a second major threshold.
- Senso-ji Main Hall — Stand right here in front of the Main Hall, because this is where Asakusa’s entire journey resolves.
- Jokoro - Incense Burner — Walk up a little closer to this large bronze vessel. This is Jokoro, the incense burner, and it's where belief becomes bodily.
- Five-Story Pagoda — Tilt your head all the way back. A pagoda is not just a tower; it is a cosmological diagram.
- Asakusa Culture Tourist Center — Step inside the Asakusa Culture Tourist Center. This building is a modern answer to a historic neighborhood.
